Why I have to disable the audio enhancements to get stereo sound on laptop speakers? Realtek audio console and Acer True Harmony are pointless in that case!

If you don't recall it ever working, and if it's that important, you could make a back up or an image and reset ACER Win10 to factory fresh from the hidden partition to see if it works properly.  Then let it update till the issue re-occurs. Then uninstall the update and temporarily block it with Microsoft's show/hide update tool till the issue is fixed either with a future Microsoft OS update or ACER driver update. If it was mine, it'd be more of an annoyance than a problem that's not worth this kind of hassle to try to fix it. Jack E/NJ

Rapid-fire force-fed Win10 updates and factory drivers often don't work perfect together  :)https://www.thewindowsclub.com/disable-audio-enhancements-windows-10

Go to this link, enter your machine's serial no id(SNID) or model number and check if any factory audio driver updates are available. If not, download and install iobit's DriverBooster freeware to see if it can find anything to help make whatever version of Win10 is on your machine now to play just as nice with the audio driver as whatever version of Win10 was on your machine when you first got it.

I have the latest version of the drivers according to Driver Booster, so TruHarmony is pointless because of ''often don't work perfect together ...''

Do you recall if it ever worked with the factory-install Win10 version before any Win10updates were applied? If yes, about how long ago? Jack E/NJ
