Hello, I have an Acer Aspire E1-571G running Windows 10 with Broadcom 802.11n & Broadcom NetLink Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapters installed.

Issue:
My connection regularly disconnects, cuts out, stops working displaying No Internet Access to which I have to run the Network Diagnostics wizard from Chrome which fixes it, by Resetting the WiFi card, for a while before it cuts out and the process begins again.

I know this is a common issue with Acer Aspire laptops running Windows 10, from various forums and videos, as I did not have problems when running Windows 8, 8.1 and even early Windows 10 versions as well as various Linux distros. I have tried the multiple 'solutions' that have helped people but not me. I have changed my router, changed power management settings for the adapters, firewalls etc. with no luck. Connecting the laptop via Ethernet yields the same results.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Again, I am using Broadcom adpaters and NOT Atheros or Intel.

Thanks

I seem to have found a solution. For anyone running into this issue and using Broadcom, just go to Acer Driver Download for your laptop and download an earlier Network Driver version for Windows 8. I'm using Broadcom Network Adapter version 5.100.82.112. Windows keeps telling me to update it when I start the machine but it works without dropping connection so definitely not updating it.

Yes. I have tried most if not all the solutions presented for this issue without luck. Even going as far as playing around with the Advanced Properties in the Device Management.

one practical advice i can give is just buy a cheap NIC. for e.g. intel 9260. and get it over with. it costs around $14. no point wasting any more time and effort on this broadcom.

Yeah, I've actually got one being delivered next week after months of no solutions. Just wanted to try one last time to see if I could at least get my ethernet adapter working. I guess there really is no Broadcom support...
