Got a predator helios 300 only 8 months ago for Christmas, in perfect condition, just wondering if there’s any way to trade it in for a cheaper but still flagship laptop. The battery life just isn’t enough, seeing if there is any trade-in program like that

Thanks for the help but looks like this service is just for businesses, I’m just a student.

Ryanhunt124 well my best guess in this case its to go to the shop where you bought it (if not directly from acer) and try to get some kind of an exchange deal also bare in mind all gaming laptops have a short battery life (no matter what model neither manufaturer but the battery life can be greatly increased by tweaking it via undervolting and powerplans and you shouldnt game on battery as you will never have full performance the battery its only to aid the adapter to provide enough power to the cpu/gpu whne this one cant apart from that its only good for very light work) if you dont have access to a socket at all times to leave it on AC i suggest you to get for ex and acer spin series or swift for a better battery life

Wow what a horrible reply, not helpful in the least.

The guy can just sell it on eBay, Amazon, Craigslist. I'd say he would make more money doing that than trade in or as you say NOTHING!

SCAM someone, that's how the world works now.

Codycraig i dunno why you state i gave an horrible reply the OP wants to trade in not sell (i dont see sell in the thread title neither in the OP posts) thats what this thread is about and my answer is completely correct regarding what he wants to do im not here to suggest any sales  im here to provide answers/help to the threads in question and laptops are like cars as soon as they get out of the sellers shop door you already lost a couple of £1000 (this is just an ex) if you would want to swap it.

One thing is you buy it and you have a seller return period (not all sellers/shops do this) while you can either get a refund or replace it for another unit, the other its 2 months after you want to trade it thats not going to happen anywhere in this world no seller/shop would do that as they will not be able to sell the used device for a profitable price ( the point here is they just dont want to deal with it its too much of a headache for them)  unless you have a binding contract like mobile networks have with businesses for ex where you can trade your old/used devices for new ones free of charge

Keep in mind, the price you expect might not be what you get - electronics are like cars - though brand new, they lose value as soon as they are purchased/out of the lot.
