I inherited an Acer E15 Start from my son. It has a 64-bit Celeron processor, and  is running Windows 10 64 bit, but with only 2Gb RAM. In Task Manager it shows  almost non-stop 100% disk usage. Can anyone advise whether I should bother to upgrade the RAM to say, 8Gb, and what difference I may look forward to.
Any other suggestions?
The load on this device is likely to remain fairly light, with minimal resource demands other than as indicated above.

  • Hello! What would be the exact model of the notebook? Example v3-571-6682. Also, about the disk at 100%, it's a problem that occurs since windows 8. Can you tell the windows version?

increase ram so that there is less paging file activity.
also install a ssd for making the system more responsive.

About ram, in my opinion, it would be interesting for you to increase it to 8gb, because windows 10 x64 requires at least 2gb of ram to work, ie its configuration is in the limit of minimum requirements.
