Does reducing "Maximum/Minimum Processor State" in power options of Windows help increase battery life? Is it also safe?
I only do very light tasks when unplugged and do not need high performance therefore would like to squeeze out every drop of battery life.

  • It's okay to decrease the percentage of processor performance on the battery. In addition, there should be an increase in battery life, but processor performance will be limited.

Khelgar yes its fine as @egydiocoelho said but bare in mind the more you use it on battery the less the battery will last you (in the long term) and more battery cycles you would have to use personally i would avoid to use it on battery at all only as last resort if you dont have a socket near even on light tasks/work as you said you will have to recharge it after anyway each time you recharge it you are using one cycle even if its not a full charge and probably @sri369 would know some more tips on how to save max battery :)

    Hi
I know it's an old one but do you mean that I should be using the lap plugged in all the time if available
I heard that you should discharge the battery once in a while
