using Predator helios 300 laptop charger on Nitro 5

i have a Nitro 5 AN515-52 and one of my brothers have a Predator 300 and the other has an Aspire 7. both of their chargers are the same and iirc the same model (19V - 7.1A) so in theory they can use each others chargers. however my charger is a beefier charger (19.5V - 9.23A) maybe because it's the gtx 1060 instead of the 1050/1050ti they have.

so hypothetically speaking what will happen if i ever had to use their charger on my laptop (I'm not trying to use it I'm just curious).
will the 0.5V difference damage the laptop/battery? have anyone tried it before? will the lower wattage even be sufficient to charge the laptop while gaming?

If you put a voltmeter on them, they're all 19 volt nominal output +/- a volt or so. With very high gaming loads, the lower power chargers might not be able to keep up with the CPU/GPU + battery charging power demands. So the battery will simply drain quicker and gaming times shorter. Other than that, the lower power chargers might get a little warmer than on the machines they were designed for. Jack E/NJ

that sounds logical to me. Thanks for the answer. and i think that even when gaming you wouldn't actually use 100% CPU + 100% GPU so i think that it wouldn't use the full 180W the charger provides.

Yes, you can use both the 9A(180watt) & 7A(135watt) as long as the plug is the same. Jack E/NJ

can I charge my acer nitro 5 with a different brand charger?

The acer charger I used is one of 135W 19A and 7.1A They offered me one with the same steel tip that is 5.5mm and 1.7mm but the requirements are 150W 19.5V and 7.7A, I have a dune, this new charger that I got I can use it in high regret and have several hours of play with the connected one? as if it were the original?
