Here is situation: In 2017, my laptop (Aspire E5-511G-C2PK) was hit by harmfull Ubuntu 17.10 update which locks my BIOS from changes. I used to take my notebook to service center.. Here service guy reflashed my BIOS. But after reflashing LAN card, Bluetooth and Wi-fi Cards, CardReader and discrete GPU (nVidia GeForce 810M) just get lost (not a single reference in Windows Device Manager). All this devices are from PCI-e bus Also driver reinstallation for all that devices reports same error - no device. I'v tryed myself to update BIOS from acer website. It was successfull, but devices are still missing((
Month ago I found this thread on some devices repairing forum:
http://vlab.su/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=56385. Here guys said that official BIOS updates from acer official web site does not contain some required info for PCI-e devices (LAN card, Bluetooth and Wi-fi Cards, CardReader and discrete GPU). They fixed this error by reflashing old BIOS over new and then again new. But in my case I don't have old (original) BIOS binary which was installed in my laptop.
So my question is: can I find any utility to change BIOS settings, or can I find original FULL Acer Aspire E5-511G-C2PK BIOS with proper default settings?! And why the hell official BIOS updates does not contain all requred proper default settings in it!?
