    Hi,
You have a M.2 SSD slot and you can install a NVMe  M.2 SSD or a M.2 SATA SSD, so you can choose whichever you prefer, for more information please read this thread:https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/537125/install-m2-ssd-on-aspire-5-a515-51g/p1

    Hi burmmyfan2,
Samsung 970 EVO Plus (pcie ×4,)will support my laptop??

    Hi,
Yes, it will work but may run at half the speed advertised by the manufacturer due to the 2 lane restriction in the motherboard.
    Hi ,

Please guide me which M.2 SSD best for my this laptop. In terms of Space, Color SSD(Green or bule one), PCIE 2/3/4
    Hi,
I prefer Samsung 970Evo and have no experience with WD drives, so I can not comment on them, actually there's not much difference between them, you won't even notice the difference in speed between a SATA SSD and a NVMe SSD under normal day to day scenario.

    Hi,
Yes, you can also transfer your original installation to the new M.2 SSD, use this free program to migrate the contents of your current HDD to the new SSD.

    No my question is :-
    1. Which PCIE SSD support this laptop mother board? Like PCIE 3 or 4?
    2. How much SSD space this slot support like 120GB, 250GB?
    3. Which SSD is best for this laptop, like
    a.Samsung 860 EVO Series 250GB M.2 SATA, URL-https://t.ly/DnG90
    b. WD Blue 3D 250 GB, URL-https://t.ly/MwRV0
    c. Samsung 970 EVO Plus 250 GB, URL -https://t.ly/ZjL9B(I think this one not support, coz this have PCI Express x4 Hardware Interface, and volt is 12V).

Please suggest me according to my laptop hardware support.
  • Hi,
1.Motherboard has PCIe 3 version with 4 lane support but for some reason, it may be restricted to 2 lanes only, it means you can install either a PCIe3x4 capable or a PCIe3z2 capable SSD.
    2. Recommended maximum size is 256GB.
    3. You may have to wait for someone else to chime in as I don't have experience in all those M.2 SSDs, I have used Samsung 970Evo and it's very reliable.

    Hi brummyfan2,

You can see in Disk Management WD HDD not displaying but in Intel window both SDD & HDD disk is displaying

  • Hi,
Intel Rapid storage covering the bottom section of Disk management, can you show me what is in the area.
You may have configured a RAID array.
