I just recently encountered an issue with my Acer Nitro 5
AN515-24-R970. The display froze with the sound (from the music
player) still playing. I had connected a USB mouse and keyboard and both were unresponsive. I tried
unplugging my mouse and plugging it back in, the laser lights didn't turn on. I
was about to do a forced shutdown but for some reason I thought of
unplugging the power adapter from my laptop and it just unfroze itself. I
tried plugging it back in and the laptop froze again after a few
minutes of use (with the solution being the same). I found this strange
since this is the first time this happened although this time I plugged
into another outlet at home and I had no issue for about 7-8 hours of
straight use until it happened. Has anyone else encountered a similar
issue? I would also like to ask if is it okay to keep my laptop's power
adapter cord coiled and could this be a factor in the issue? (I keep the twisted wire-tie tied around the coil
of wires to keep the cord length short).
