The laptop just went off while I was working and then the battery light indicator is red no matter what I do. I did pin hole reset and it still does not work. After battery reset the laptop is stuck this way.

    Hi,
Did you leave the laptop to rest for a while after the battery reset? If not, do the battery reset, disconnect from mains, switch off the laptop, push the button slightly, leave the laptop to rest for 15-30 mins, then try reconnecting the mains adapter, let the battery fully charged before trying to start the laptop.

    Hi,

although I did reset and tried right away in the beginning later I decided after reset I will give it some time about 40 min and then let it charge over night (during this time charge light on battery indicator was orange) and next day morning when I tried switching on it did not boot and I am back to square one.

Anilpothuru How old is the laptop ? have you checked if the power kill switch (which it seems to be the battery kill switch according to some new reports i had seen as some users managed to boot it up with the ram compartment open but the battery was not connected this on my model i havent tested myself) in the ram compartment its properly pressed  also you battery might be faulty for some reason or the cmos battery dead there are many possible reasons/factors why its not working and the last one being the mobo itself faulty

    Hi

Laptop is going to be 20 months old. I have pretty much always used the laptop plugged in like a desktop as it was tough to carry around much, could that have created any issue ? I have plugged out the battery and also tried booting with direct plug still did not work but i have not tried to remove the ram or the kill switch because it was fully packed inside the graphic card component. Currently given to acer service centre to diagnose the issue they said they will let me know end of the day.

Hi Become extremely tragic we did full opened and did diagnosis at Acer authorised service and found the 3D card to have had burn spots and they said that nothing can be done except to claim in warranty because the 3D card is completely integrated into the whole mother board and a single component cannot be changed or repaired. I have warranty till August 2020 but finding it difficult to claim because laptop bought in Bangkok I spoke to Acer service centre there they told to fedex but our local FedEx did not accept as cost of goods is higher than their threshold. I have to send through a friend or myself to do it probably after covid lockdown.

Today my laptop has started to have the same issue. Only way to get the lights to go out is by doing a battery reset and as soon as I press the power button  again the 2 red lights come back on and the battery light too when the charger is connected. Unfortunately mine is out of warranty so they tell me but I have had it less than the 3 year warranty period. I have to pay to send it to the Acer national operation centre for Australia in NSW where they will assess if anything can be done.

Does anyone have any other suggestions to try before sending it? I seen somewhere someone was talking about a (BIOS driver)? install from a USB pressing and holding fn key and escape while turning it on but I lost that page and am not sure where to get or whether it was even the BIOS driver that they suggested.
