Acer Switch SW312-31 keyboard appears to be connected but won't type

The other night I used my Switch in tablet mode to read on my Kindle App. I've had my laptop for about 8 months. (This happened once before but I have no clue what I did to fix it...it just worked.)   The next morning went to use it and the keyboard was not working.  I tried talking to Acer, but all they were able to tell me to do was to reset it...which I did and it didn't work completely.  When I remove the keyboard it registers that I've taken it off, ie: asks me if I want to switch to tablet mode. So its registering but when I use the keys it does not type. Just wondering before I give up and send it back for repairs if anyone else had experienced this. Thanks in advance!

    What do you mean by 'didn't work completely'? Did it work 'partially'? Jack E/NJ

    Yeah, if some keys work it might just be in numlock mode...

    First of all lat me say  I'm an EU consumer from Italy not so much expert with IT problems.
    I noticed the same keyboard problem with ACER SW 312-31 some months ago: I tried to connect a second key board via USB without noticing any good result, after that I  purchase on line the USB memory with the recovery software .
    Firstly I tried the restore operation without solving the keyboard problem , secondly I tried to restore the factory condition .
    As final result  actually I'm stopped at  the following points:
    a) the original computer key board it isn't still working even there is the signal proving the magnetic contact with the relevant icona;
    b) the second key board connected via wireless  now it is working;
    c) the computer was sold with MCafee antivirus an now after the sofware restoration it is proposing Norton antivisus.
