Hello guys, when my nitro 5 is unplugged is unusable, everything is lagging, and i found out why, because my cpu, amd ryzen 7, is limited to max 0.4 ghz. I know how to enter this laptop`s bios but i don`t know how to change this limit and the most important, if it`s possible.  Can you tell me how can i switch this? I really don`t care about battery life as it`s gonna get broken over time, but i just want the performance to be the same weather it`s charging or not. Thanks.

Same model as mine m8. 0.4mhz is way slow on battery it should bench with stress at around 1.7, and on power around 3.2.
You however have a very old BIOS version you should be v1.13 and I believe this was addressed in the updates. you do not need to download intermediate updates just 1.13. After downloading and installing it reboot and tap f2 as it boots, this will bring you into the BIOS menu and you can select Keyboard backlight on/off so that your keyboard stays lit on power. Go here for the update under the BIOS/Firmware tab

I updated the BIOS, now is 1.13
but how can i improve the cpu speed now? as i said, 1.7ghz or smth
I updated the BIOS, now when on battery it goes to 1.53 ghz, thank you , i realllly aprecciate it!

@Gr0PsY 1.53mhz on battery is correct and when on AC and under maximum stress it will boost to around 3.2mhz

Firstly what is your exact model number AN515** ? Next all the Nitros are throttled back on battery power and cannot be throttled up but 0.4 is low, my Ryzen 5 is throttled back to about 1.7mhz from 3.4. High Performance and max boost CPU speed are only achieved with a battery that is at 100% and plugged into the AC power supply while using the Laptop. Battery power is good for mundane tasks and watching youtube and movies etc... Performance will never be the same on battery but it should be better than you're reporting. Make sure you give us that model number and your current BIOS version

    Bios version 1.05.
0.4 GHZ, i know to read. If it can`t be throttled up can i at least make it bigger like 1.7 ghz or smth?
