Hey guys, I picked up the PH315-52 from the Amazon sale, and I got the corsair NVME at the same time.  Cut to the chase, and I could never get it to work.  Mounted, formatted, installed, but anytime wanted to play a game on the drive and the drive would disappear and cause a watchdog bluescreen to occur.  Got new one, and the replacement also did the same.  So forget that model.  Anyone have a good one you know will work?  Right now just using a slow HDD until I can find something that I can trust will work.

And clearly I meant Crucial SSD, not corsair.

skywalkr2 Have you tried the drive itself via usb adapter just to see if the drive itself its working fine  im guessing the error you had been getting its this one (DPC Watchdog Violation) this usually happens because of a driver issue if im not mistaken get bluescreenviewer and check exactly what is the driver causing the issue and try to update it or simply remove it and reinstall it im just curious is the drive only for gaming if so you dont need nvme normal m.2 sata its more than enough and cheaper on larger storage solutions but if you do or plan to do rendering works yes you would need nvme definitely but as i stated try to check which driver is causing your issue and if you are able to connect your drive via usb adapter/enclosure also swapping ports/slots in the mobo sometimes will do the trick its just a case of trying it keep up posted and let us know your findings :)

I don't have a way to mount via USB.  But I did just download the bluescreenview, and not sure what I am supposed to be looking  at.  The top line
    is: ntoskrnl.exe ntoskrnl.exe+571350 fffff806`55600000 fffff806`560b5000 0x00ab5000 0x74da155a 2/15/2032 5:16:10 AM

Further down I also see this:

    PSHED.dll  fffff806`581c0000 fffff806`581da000 0x0001a000 0xb21f9dda 9/11/2064 11:41:14 PM Microsoft® Windows® Operating System Platform Specific Hardware Error Driver 10.0.18362.1 (WinBuild.160101.0800) Microsoft Corporation C:\WINDOWS\system32\PSHED.dll

In regards to NVME - I just need any SSD.  It's just that this 1TB NVME was on sale for $80.

Try to google the issue you have and try the fixes already  posted for ex:

also as i stated swapping ports/slots sometimes work and personally i would test the drive in another device if possible just to make sure its not the drive itself that might be faulty its a rare case but might also happen
