I'm running out of room on the OEM 500gb drive that came with this computer. I would like to upgrade the storage, but I'm not sure of the options available. I have several questions that I'd like to pose:

1. Can I swap out the 500gb drive with a 2.5" 1TB SSD drive?
2. Is there a slot for a second SSD drive, the type that looks like a memory stick? If yes, what is the maximum capacity that can be installed?
3. If I can add a second memory stick-like drive, will the two drives co-exist properly (i.e. each having a separate drive letter)? Is there a combined maximum total storage capacity that should not be exceeded?
4. I'm familiar with opening the case, thanks to YouTube. Are there any other gotchas or tricks I should know about that will make the upgrade go smoothly?

Thank you for considering my questions and taking the time to reply.

    (1) No. Your mainboard doesn't have 2.5" drive capability. However, it does have one possibly two m.2 SATA SSD slots. One is already filled with the Kingston 512GB m.2 card. So stepping up to 1TB m.2 SSD is usually much pricier than a 2.5" 1TB SSD would be if you could use a 2.5".
    (2) You'd have to pop the bottom cover to see if you have the two-slot mainboard . The maximum capacity will depend mostly on how much you want to spend. 2TB+ won't be a problem except for the expense.
    (3) Two drives should co-exist fine. Their combined capacity should not exceed your ability to pay.
    (4) Good luck

Open Device Manager. Click 'disk drives' folder. What drive names and model numbers are listed? Jack E/NJ
