@pepecruz11 cut/paste ? and what archives are you talking about the downloads folder ? you can set you downloads folder manually in any drive according to the software/browser you use

Which updates (windows updates its normal to go on the system drive)  and which program are talking about that its on D drive ? your c drive should be only used for needed software nothing else any other data should got into the secondary drive if you are trying to move the system drive into another one of course it will never work they are system files they cannot be moved unless you clone your drive into a larger one and replace it

What is your full model number (do not post serials neither SNID's its not allowed) im guessing you only have a 128gb ssd for system drive and a 1tb hdd for storage am i correct ? if so i suggest you to upgrade your ssd to a larger on as it get full quickly especially with windows updates which i suggest you to disable them permanently to avoid future issues only update what you would need yourself manually

Oh now I get it u installed games in the system drive well u should know better u should never do that move them intjo the other drive or uninstall them and install them into the other drive as I previously said only use the system drive for the os and necessary software nothing else the os drive should always have at least 20/30gb free at all time for the system to run smoothly

    1) never turn off your windows updates. despite what others may say, updates are good , if you can trust MS for using their windows OS, then you should trust their updates too.
although sometimes some bugs are introduced by updates, but they are quite few and rare.

    2) remap your downloads, documents, pictures and video folders to D : drive.
by doing this all future downloads of files will go to D : drive. during remapping proces it will ask to move all files from c: drive to D : drive, agree to that.

    you can remap as follows.
open my pc, on the left window pane select downloads, right click on it, select properties, select location , then select move.  select whereever  you want to move , in your case D :\Downloads (create the Downloads folder in D : drive before ).
    then click apply.
    similarly do for other folders.

    3) use cleanmgr command , and select clean system files, then select all options,
this will cleanup the drive and get you some space in C: drive.

4)use dism command options to cleanup and shrink the winsxs file.
in powershell window type the following command
    Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
this will save you some more disk space.

    5) never backup your iphone mobile to your mc. it occupies a lot of GB's of space on C: drive.

    6) manually move , whatever data thatcan be moved, to D : drive for e.g. pictures, songs, videos etc ...

    7) if you dont use hibernation, then switch it off.
    in powershell give this command.
    powercfg  /h off
this will delete hyberfil file and save you from 2 to 6 GB of space on c: drive.

These are basic elementary steps you can take to judiciously use your system drive.

128GB ssd is more than enough for a 'normal' windows system. provided you install games to D : drive.

ps: i use my mobile to type this hence it is not in detail.

    2) Daily Use: Acer Aspire A315-53  59GR
    Config: Core i5 8250u, 8GB, 256 SSD, 1TB HDD, IPS FHD

    1. You can map all folders within you my documents to drives other than C - this is safer too in case windows drive fails!
    2. Never install games to the drive windows is on - preferably put atleast in a different partition.
    3. Keep windows drive strictly for windows and related programs only - would make it easier to image windows partition time to time.

All games have the option to install them wherever you want them to you have to choose it when you install

Deejay_tech i disagree with windows updates they arent good and you should never update anything through windows whatsoever if you dont have any issues this is whats been happening recently with 1903 screwing everyone up loads of complains everywhere and propbably 90% are from laptop owners :P i never trusted MS and never will since winxp/7 they havent done anything good:)

I am on 1903 and it is working great for me. Never had that error code 43 or 10 for graphics card (coz 1050Ti isn't affected always and that's the perk of it ;) ).
