Someone needs to pass the following information on to Acer's
engineering department.
There is a mistake in the latest BIOS upgrade (version 1.47)
for the Aspire E5-575G series notebooks. The previous BIOS (version 1.45)
says it upgraded the Intel Management Engine Firmware to 11.8.55.3510. However,
after I upgraded my Aspire to BIOS version 1.47, the Intel Management Engine
diagnostic tool reports that the Intel Management Engine firmware version is
11.5.0.1058. It appears that whoever packaged the latest BIOS included an older
version of the Intel ME firmware by mistake. This has reintroduced some
security problems that Intel fixed.
