Faeryn first of all what is your exact full model also perform a battery power drain by disconnecting from AC and pressing the battery pinhole switch under the laptop for 30s let the laptop rest for 2/3h then boot into bios (if you have image) reset bios to default also check the memory door compartment and check if the power security kill switch its properly pressed add some layers of tape to the press point if needed to make sure its properly pressed let us know if any of these options worked

Faeryn Try it on an external display/tv to see if you have any image if you have its something with your display cable connection or the display itself if you dont might be a faulty mobo and in this case my advice its to contact shop/seller where you bought it from acer support to send it for a possible repair/replacement if still on warranty

Having the same issue with month old laptop.  Laptop turns on but screen is black.  Hooked it up to external monitor and can see through that, but screen still does not work.  Cannot find a battery reset pinhole to save my life, but I don't think that is the issue.  Model # is Predator Helios 300 PH315-52-78VL  Do you think the screen died?  Will try calling Acer support in the morning (on the east coast).  Thanks.
