    Shekhu07 depending on the model optimize windows /undervolt (you will need to do it because of the thermal throttling) disable windows updates permanently (most of the issues appear after widows updated itself) and only update what/when you need manually dont update anything if you dont have any issues  personally i would either create a recovery usb drive before windows starts to update like mad would advise to not let it update anything by not connecting to any network (as suggested above by JordanB ) or clone the drive into another one (if you are planing to upgrade it always keep the stock cloned one in case of an emergency ) depending on the specs you have ram/ssd
