Acer Predator XB241H shuts off randomly when starting games

Hello everyone. So, i've had my Acer predator XB241H for about three months now and i haven't had any problems until two days ago. When i go to start up a game, fifa 19 and forza horizon 4 for example, the monitor randomly shuts off. Sometimes it shuts off for like 2-3 seconds and sometimes it shuts down completely and gives me a "No Signal" message. The only thing i can do is to restart my pc. I've tried a few things such as making sure my drivers are up to date, having the monitors overclocking option turned off and launching the games in borderless window but it doesn't make any difference. I've also checked my temps jic and they look good. If anyone knows how to fix this or have any advice i'd be very grateful.

OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Cpu: Amd FX 8350
Gpu: Asus strix GTX 970 4gb
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3
Ram: Ballistix Sport 16gb Dual channel DDR3 805MHz

No, i haven't yet tried another dp cable, i've been using the one that comes with the monitor. I've read that they aren't very good quality. I'll make sure to get a new DP cable and try it out.
