How reliable are Helios 300 laptops?

Hello Acer community! I had a quick question about the Helios 300 laptop line and their reliability.

I was set on buying the PH-315-78VL- Just what I needed. A great GPU, excellent processor, plenty of RAM, a fast M.2, a bay for a SATA SSD, and good build quality for the attractive price of $1200. Reviews from trustworthy tech-sites said the new model was a great laptop, but after scrolling through the reviews on the Amazon listing there were at least five people who left one star reviews because their laptop shut down after a few weeks or less. Helios 300's, especially older models, do pop up frequently on this forum having trouble turning on.

I've been using this old Acer 'beast' for about five years now and it still is a great laptop. Runs fast, gets stuff done. Acer laptops, or at least that Chromebook, have been pretty reliable in my experience.

The seemingly poor reliability of Predator Helios laptops is definitely uncomforting because this is a laptop I need to make last for another five years.

Is the new Helios 300 really as unreliable as it seems, or it it just a few defective units? If my Helios ever goes wonky, how hard is support to deal with? Especially if I plan on opening it up and putting in an SSD into the bay...

Wyatt850 Well if you go for amazon reviews you will never buy anything (most of the reviews on amazon are fake or even some just want to try to keep the devices and still get the money back) and no its not unreliable there is always the possibility of a few faulty units that happens everywhere on mass production not only laptops thats completely normal i have been with Acer since 2008/10  and all the laptops i have they all still work and no issues i have 2 x 5740G 1 X 7745G also have other brands but all of them are useless and not reliable
