My GPU is spiking even when there is nothing running.

So a few hours ago I asked about a problem with temperatures. I didn't get a clear answer but that's ok. When I opened MSI Afterburner and saw that my GPU driver was too old. Installed a new one but now I get these kind of weird spikes in my gpu temperature even though it is on idle and it frustrates me... Does someone know where this comes from and how I can stop it?

Go into nvidia driver and see if is there some program which is attached to nvidia gpu when it should not. For example, I have noticed that one service related to print spooler service turns on nvidia gpu, no clue why. Maybe some background program starts your gpu in this same way.
Nothing peaks at the same time...

Fearox you stated nothing running so why is it showing 3% usage on PS ? (thats not idle to me) if there was nothing running it would be 0 open nvidia gpu activity monitor and check whats running on the GTX

Are you sure there is nothing connected, and that you do not have any software that pings GPU for status? For example, MSI after burner keeps pinging GPU for status when the graphs are turned on. Turning them off fixes the issue. Check for things like that that may be on your laptop.
