Hello everyone.

I'm tryin to save the failed bios update of my Acer Aspire E5-575G 549D Notebook by creating a bios recovery usb stick. The notebook has crashed while updating leaving a blackscreen everytime I turn it on. I was able to enter the BIOS Recovery mode by pressing FN+ESC but the notebook turns off after 10 seconds without flashing the bios from the stick.

I've tried several filenames for the .fd file on the usb stick but nothing seems to work. Even "Andy's phoenix bios tool" hasn't shown me any recover filenames.

    Good afternoon EciBreci13 !

Acer Bios upgrades are only made via EXE applications and not via USB.

So how can I Flash the BIOS in BIOS Recovery Mode (FN+ESC)?

The fact that the function is activated in the bios does not mean that this is the standard method for the procedure.
Updates of Bios via USB devices have already been causing serious failures for many years.
For this reason, both Acer and other developers (with the support of Bios producers) decided to opt for an update only via EXE files in the operating system itself.

If you have used a method not provided by Acer in addition to the standard updates and Bios has been corrupted, only Acer has the proper tools for reinstallation.

The updates themselves inform the correct procedure:
    "How to update the BIOS:
Click "ZAA_127.exe" under Winodows mode "

    Which version did you install?
Did you use the default installer for Windows?
