I want to add a 512GB SSD to my Swift 3 sf315-52. However, I have seen messages where some people have trouble getting bios to load with 2.5” SATA SSD > 256gb. Acer support tells me that my machine supports replacing the 1tb HDD with up to 512GB SATA ssd. They also say it supports replacing the 16gb Optane with up to a 512GB nvme m.2 SSD. Can anyone confirm that they were able to successfully do either of these upgrades on an SF315-52?

Due to production and regional variations even with the same submodel, you really can't depend on what other folks have experienced especially for bleeding edge storage tech like m.2 nvmes. Thus the safest bets for compatibility are plain vanilla 2.5" SSDs up to 2TB and m.2 SATA3 cards up to 512GB. Jack E/NJ
