In short
While playing any game on charging mode the temperature of the cpu rises to max 99 degree centigrade but as soon as you unplug the charger the temperature varies between 60 to 65 degrees. Even while not gaming there is very much variation in the temperature on charging mode ranging from 55 to 75 degree (only using youtube) but again the same case when not charging the temperature is always between 45 to 47 degree.
Fan speed MAX and cool boost on while gaming.
i5 8th gen
nvidia GTX 1050 4gb
ram ddr 4 8gb.

Is this normal?

Make sure your battery is at 100% BEFORE you start gaming and keep it plugged into the AC while you game and see if that helps

When you are on battery only the laptop is on battery saver and will run much cooler, when plugged into AC it is probably set to High Performance which you need for gaming. The Nitro and Predator series are designed to run HOT, up to 90 deg C with the occasional spike. I use a powered Targus cooling mat which helps. You may have a badly pasted CPU and GPU, if under warranty contact ACER and they will repaste it, if not under warranty repaste it yourself with Grizzly Kryonaut. From everything you have said it sounds to me that it needs repasting, you could also try throttling back the CPU

I have manually selected to run my laptop on high performance on both while charging mode and also on battery mode. And acer has already changed the motherboard for heating issue so i dont think there is issue in thermal pasting.

@shreyansh0306 I know this sounds wrong but turn OFF Coolboost and report back
