Hi,
I have an Acer Aspire A515-52 which I bought about 2 months ago. I am a full time student so I am always looking for ways to boost the speed of my laptop, specifically for when I am on campus using their WiFi. When I am at home I have my laptop docked to pluggable and sent to two monitors and it works great but as I mentioned, my issue is speed when Im not at home. Its frustrating when I am in class and I see a lot of other people on laptops doing multiple different things/using different windows/tabs and I am still waiting for a page to load. I need help!

You must find out if the school is using 2.4GHz or 5GHz wifi band. Then open Device Manager. Click ' network adapters' folder. Then right click on wifi adapter and select properties. Then under the advanced tab, set to either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band instead of no band preference. Jack E/NJ

"WLAN frequencies within the 2.4GHz band (2.4 GHz to 2.5GHz) and 5GHz band (5.725 GHz to 5.875 GHz), were selected because they were in the ISM (Industrial, Scientific, and Medical) unlicensed bands that required no licensing by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). "
