i just got a triton 500 and was wondering if keeping it plugged in for a long time would affect the battery life, if it does affect it, for how long is it okay to stay plugged in?

Nik1_2__3___ no its doesnt affect the battery actually my advice its to keep it always on A/C while doing everything mine its on 24/7 non stop now for15 months and i only have 9% battery wear these lithium batteries will wear in each battery charge cycle the more battery charging cycles you use the more the life span will decrease but of course they will last years if well maintained and calibrated frequently once every 3 months or so
