I have an Aspire E 15 E5-575G-57D4 and it has been shutting down at high percentages when it is not charging. It used to live until 50% or 60%. At its most recent it shut off when it was at around 70% when not connected to the charger. I'm wondering what issues would cause this and what would be the best solutions to solve this.

Shut the machine down. Remove the charger. Gently insert a paper clip into the battery re-set pinhole on the bottom for 10 secs. Then let the machine rest for about 15 mins. Then plug the charger back in. Turn the laptop back on. When the battery is full, remove the charger and report results. Jack E/NJ

Thank you for the advice. I followed your instructions but my laptop still shut down at 75%. I'm gonna give it another try and if it'll work this time.

That's the spirit! If it still fails, go to the elevated command prompt.  Enter 'powercfg /batteryreport'. Then return to the desktop. Open file explorer. Then search for' battery-report.html' in the c:\windows\system32\ sub-folder. Double-click to open it in the browser. Compare design capacity with full charge capacity. Post screenshot if possible. Thanks again. I tried it again and my laptop still died at around 70%.

I went ahead and did the battery report. Here's what I found:
