Acer Swift 5  has an unusably juddery sticky trackpad and can't smoothly swipe without fingers stuttering across it's surface

    Try occasionally wiping the touchpad with a soft cloth moistened with rubbing alcohol. Let dry. A light coating of talcum powder on your fingers will also help. Jack E/NJ

    Thanks JackE this is what i ended up doing and it has helped but pad not the best material i think

    Unfortunately, I find touchpad reliability depends on relative humidities being in the range of 40-60%. Below that range, I have to moisten my fingers. Above, talc and a light touch. So whenever possbile I much prefer using a mouse than a touchpad or touchscreen. Jack E/NJ
