Acer SPF513-53N-55W9 - Screen flicker when connected to power source

After turning on or awakening the laptop (Spin 5 Series) from sleep and opening the screen, the screen will flicker in brightness for a couple of minutes and then stop. This only seems to happen when it is plugged in and connected to a power source and not when it is using battery power only. When the problem is occurring, unplugging the power cord stops the flickering brightness and plugging it back in causes it to resume. Overall though, the problem stops after a few minutes. It is most noticeable on white backgrounds like webpages.

Given that this seems to be related to the power and/or battery, what is the recommended solution? Google tells me this seems to be a known issue on this laptops.

It's an N17W2 or SPF513-53N-55W9, depending where I look on the back.

Can you record a video showing the problem? Also, if the problem only occurs when you plug in the power adapter, would it be interesting to know if you connecting the adapter directly to a properly grounded electrical outlet? Have you also tried updating the drivers on the intel website?

I'm not sure I can get a video right now, but it's just a flickering of the screen's brightness. It doesn't flick between blackness and being on, it's just the brightness that flickers a bit.

I will try it on some other power outlets too. Which drivers specifically? My GFX drivers are up to date and the laptop is only 3-4 months old bought new from a store.
