In my last laptop there was a feature where it would only charge upto 90%  and not 100% to extend battery life if i kept it on charge does the helios 300 also have this feature?

Every windows based unit has this feature. You can simply go to power options and click on change advance power settings and limit the battery charging percentage.
Click on 'Yes' to accept my comment as answer

oricon499 dont worry about the battery life the battery will not overcharge when it reaches 100% it will stop and it will just trickle charge when it drops under 95 so its perfectly safe i have mine on A/C 24/7 non stop for the last 15 months and no issues only have a 9% battery wear buit bare in mind even on A/C if you have too many devices using the usb ports when performing high demanding tasks the battery will discharge to help the adapter to provide enough power to the cpu/gpu and when this one reaches 40% the adapter will also start to charge the battery and you end up by loosing most of the performance because the adapter cannot do both charge the battery and provide power for the cpu/gpu itself so you have to stop what you were doing and let it charge to 100 again and this can be avoided by using a good self powered usb hub :)

I'm adding to this thread a bit late but I found a way to limit the battery charging on my Acer Helios 300 PH315-53 model.

I went to the Acer Drivers and Manuals site and selected my model, downloaded and installed the Acer Care Center from there (I uninstalled first the app).

Once installed, just open the app and go to Checkup, and then the 2nd tab of the Battery Health section to enable the battery limit to 80%.

This worked with my model and hopefully, it will work with yours. 👍
