(Aspire ES1) Bluetooth no longer recognizes earpiece, won't reinstall driver

My bluetooth function on my laptop (Aspire ES1) won't recognize my earpiece anymore.   I tried to uninstall and reinstall driver.  First, the link at the Acer support page gave me the audio driver instead of the bluetooth driver, then it said "we can't downgrade to an outdated driver", so I don't know how to get my bluetooth earpiece to be recognized.   It used to work, but there were still a few programs that would play out of the laptop speakers rather than the earpiece for some reason.  So I bought a dongle, and that didn't work, but the dongle drive made it so that the bluetooth earpiece only works with the dongle.  I have since returned the dongle, and now I have no functional bluetooth action to be had.  I have already tried Windows support.   Any help is appreciated.

Do you see any red or yellow warnings in DeviceManager? If not, do you see a BT device driver folder or network sub-folder in Device Manager? Jack E/NJ

I don't see any warnings. I do see a device driver area in the device manager section.

Yes, but do you see a Bluetooth device driver area in Device Manager? A screenshot of what you see would help. Jack E/NJ

Nothing seems wrong with your laptop hardware or headset drivers. Have you checked the earpiece battery levels?  Jack E/NJ

I know the bluetooth levels are okay.   The otium is one of my bluetooth earpieces, and it not working, which is to say, my laptop still plays out of the laptop speakers when I try to get it to play in the earpiece.   There were two other earpieces I use (that are more discreet at work), but I removed them when I was troubleshooting, thinking I could get them back.    I also can't figure out how to get them to be recognized again.  But even so, the otium isn't working.

Yes, if the Otium's battery is dead then no BT connection is possible. That's why I asked if you had checked the Otium's battery level. Jack E/NJ

How did you determine the battery charge level? Jack E/NJ

I use my bluetooth earpiece with my phone regularly. I charge it regularly.  It is simply not being recognized by this laptop.   The one that is being recognized still won't actually work.

With the earpiece in discoverable mode, what options does the BT icon in the tray reveal when your right and left click on it? Jack E/NJ
