ACER G276 concern

I've noticed a black bar right across from one side of the screen to the other (horizontally)

I can only notice it when standing over the monitor looking down (like when you turn the computer on and you sit down in the chair or getting up)

Its not viable during gaming sessions or at any other time. But its there and I cant tell if this will be a problem later in life or if it is a faulty monitor?

I've attacked a pic though it's a white line it represents the fact it's black

Can someone please advise? Or point me to someone who can help...

Thanks

    Hi @sw1000xg,

Try to remove all the cables from the unit and press and hold the power button for 30 secs. try to turn on the unit and check. if its small issue it will be fixed by the above steps. check if the cables are connected properly. if you still have the same issue then it can be lines on the screen which might increase in future. contact the acer support if the unit is under the warranty.

The monitor is about a week old so defo in warranty.  I've tried your steps, removed the DVI and used a HDMI cable to see if it was the DVI, no joy.  Removed all cables except the power cable. Held the power button down for 30s, turned on the monitor and the black line is still there.

There is one other strange occurance I've noticed is the saturation at the bottom of the screen is less pronounced than at the top. Which seems to change when scrolling on Youtube, the saturation deepens when images pass the centre and move towards the top of the screen
Could this be related to the black line in the centre?
    Thanks for the quick reply

    Hi,
You will have to remove all cables including the power cable and then try those steps.

I've tried it and nothing.  Is there any indication that its worked like a flicker of a light or I just hold for 30sec and then plug everything back in and turn on.

Its so simple my friend. Remove all the cable from the unit including the power cable->>> press and hold the power button for 30sec. (long press)->>>now connect back the power code and turn on the unit and check.

    Still the same

Tried it twice just to make sure

    Still there.

    Is the monitor faulty?
