I'll keep it short and sweet because I need urgent help. I bought my Predator Helios 300 this week and today while I was trying to turn it on it was like the laptop had died. By accident I pressed a random key and the laptop started normally, however as soon as the keyboard lights shut down so does the laptop instantly. I need an urgent solution, thanks in advance!

    Hi @JMSA ;
    Please share the model number of your unit, example: PH315-51,
    Try doing a power drain , by inserting a pin in the battery reset hole. Also try doing bios default try the following steps below;
    1. Completely shut down your computer.
    2. Power on the system. As soon as the first logo screen appears, immediately press F2 for notebooks or Delete for desktops to enter UEFI.
    3. Press F9 and then Enter to load the default configuration.
    4. Press F10 and then Enter to save and exit.
    Hit Accept if its useful :)

    If you bought it just this week, return it and have it replaced. This appears to me to be more than just a BIOS/EFI or software issue.

    Ok, I went to the store today and long story short I couldn't return the laptop. I wasn't aware that you couldn't return computers but that's just how it is. The laptop stayed there however and it's going to be send to Acer for warranty purposes. I'll keep you updated

    Some shops dont have any return policies and some have just a few days, some 30 days all depends on what policies they have setup its always good to inform yourself before you buy anything
