I want to know if for the empty m.2 slot I have to purchase a nvme ssd or a sata iii m.2 ssd. I don't know which one is compatible, I researched on amazon's website and a question popped up saying that acer tested up to 512 gb of nvme. I want to add 1 tb nvme ssd to the already installed 256 gb ssd that came with the purchase. I have these options for ssd:

WD BLUE
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073SB2MXT/ref=sspa_dk_detail_4?pd_rd_i=B073SBZ8YH&pd_rd_w=VkfYA&pf_rd_p=8a8f3917-7900-4ce8-ad90-adf0d53c0985&pd_rd_wg=FzSld&pf_rd_r=F9G7K44D78GG4RCTJTQF&pd_rd_r=be85a761-990f-11e9-af99-f7a03486ec91&th=1

SAMSUNG
https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-970-EVO-1TB-MZ-V7E1T0BW/dp/B07BN217QG/ref=sr_1_30?keywords=ssd&qid=1561515251&refinements=p_n_feature_three_browse-bin%3A6797521011&rnid=6797515011&s=pc&sr=1-30

They have different types of entries, I want to know which will work and if 1 tb m.2 ssd can work with the already installed 256 gb m.2 ssd. If I have to choose I'd go for the cheaper ssd, but preferably the one that works.

bkvm96 both are compatible but if you dont need nvme speed for rendering works or any work you might need i would go for sata only same price you get the double space and its more than enough for gaming only i have a wd blue 3d nand 2tb myself for the price of 1tb nvme some of the predator variants which have 2 m.2 slots one its sata only and the other its nvme this means you can use sata on both because it works backwards (reverse engineering) but you can only use nvme on the supported one will not work on the sata port

Thank you so much, you saved me $100. I really appreciate it. I do a little of rendering but not at a level that requires a lot of power.
