So earlier this year mid-march I purchased  a predator helios 300, 2018 model, only to find out now, theres a 2019 model released a month later, which seemingly 1-ups it in every way. Would an upgrade be possible considering how recent I purchased it?

This is my model https://www.amazon.ca/Acer-Predator-17-3-144Hz-256GB/dp/B07D1H521Q/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3VHUBY37WNMUO&keywords=predator+helios+300&qid=1561567442&s=gateway&sprefix=predator+helios+3%2Caps%2C204&sr=8-1

Unless there's something that bothers you about your current Helios 300, I don't think that the new model is worth it. The only reason I can think of that justifies replacing your current model with the new one is if it's suffering from high temperatures. Thermals are better at the new model because Acer finally got rid of the silly "both fans on the same side with shared heat-pipes" layout, but in turn it's also one of the loudest gaming laptops on the market today.
