Hello

Last week I took my acer laptop few days warranty expired due to issue with battery. Also had heating/fan issues and screen.

Today got it back. Paper said they replaced battery. Nothing wrong with screen or fan. They also replaced SSD saying it had warnings in "ads"

Took laptop home and installed all my data back (good thing I did backup, wasn't expecting them to replace ssd as it worked fine). Notice the laptop is significantly slower.

Ran SSD benchmark on crystaldisk. It's going 1/3 of original performance. Ran crystaldiskinfo and noticied they've installed a hynix sata SSD vs the original intel nVME ssd it had.

Is this allowed? To install a slower part? I thought it was either equivalent performance or faster.

Really disappointed. Will be without one week of laptop again and another 3 hours drives back and forth to acer store.

I have this Drive Model: HFS256G39TND-N210A

This was delivered with the SF315-52G
So they use what they have in stock or which is cheaper, not what has the best performance.

    Hi uzair19,

Sorry to hear this, please keep in mind that there are different variations of the same model of your unit and also various compatible components (including RAM, SSD, HDD etc.) that are tested with your model and can be used to replace the parts in our repair centers when units come in for repair, so if its a compatible component that was already tested for this unit then it can be used.

How slower is your computer now? Example: It took 10 seconds to boot and now it takes 30 seconds...
Can you please send me a PM with the serial number and the service order documentation?
