As you can see in the question you know what I am dealing with. The camera has not worked for a while. I was trying to get it to work and discovered there isn't even a visual device in device manager. I have tried some of the stuff in videos online to no avail. I cannot find the original driver disk anywhere in this ***** house and would really appreciate some help. I know just enough to get myself in trouble so please speak in layman's terms. I appreciate any help. Thank you, Michael

If this was a factory installed Win8.1 machine AND you haven't tried to test drive Win10 on it, you can either do a ALT+F10 cold boot factory refresh while trying to keep your personal files or do a full factory out of the box reset that erases everything and puts a fresh copy of Win8.1 back on the machine. Follow the video instructions below. However, since the camera is not showing up in Device Manager's Imaging Devices folder, I'm gonna make a wild guess that the LCD/cam ribbon cable needs to be replaced from the wear & tear of opening and closing the lid too much. About $20usd for a new replacement. Jack E/NJ
