Acer Spin 1 - permanently disable "blue" number keys?

Hello.

I have Acer Spin 1, and since it doesn't have a full numeric keyboard, I have bought an external USB numeric keyboard.
The keyboard itself works fine, but the problem is that when I turn on the numlock, the 'UIOPJKLM' keys on laptop also switch to numeric mode.
This means that I have to constanly keep switching the num lock on and off as I switch between typing letters or numbers on the external keyboard.

Is there a way to permanently disable all numeric functionality of the 'UIOPJKLM' keys and have them only behave as letters?
Is there a custom driver, program... anything?

I looked through BIOS, but there I can only choose how FN key affects function/media keys, which doesn't make a difference on 'UIOPJKLM'.
Is there also some setting which controls how num lock affects the 'UIOPJKLM' keys?

Sorry, most NumPads with NumLocks can not be made independent of laptops with NumLocks. So you must use a NumPad without a NumLock (like the Targus model below) or a full external keyboard. Both types are available wireless or wired. Jack E/NJ

How is this a good solution ?

I have just got a new acer spin to replace my work laptop.

The old Del worked great with an external usb c hub, monitor and keyboard.

    This new spin wil not.

The most annoying part is when i use a full size keyboard number pad, then the laptop keyboard assumes i want numbers instead of letters.

How is it that my old Del could tell the difference between an external keyboard and the internal one, while this acer spin can not???

Maybe need a new hub. This is an old thread and Spin 1 models & functions have probabluy changed. Please start your own new thread by clicking on the green ask a question button near upper right side of this webpage. Also specify the full series model number as there are many in this series. For example, SP111-33.
