Hello everyone, this is my first post, so, thanks in advance for any help!.
I have recently acquired a brand new Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-52
- 15,6 inches
- i7-9750
- 16GB RAM DDR4
- 256SSD Nvme + 1TB HDD
- RTX2060 6GB
Yesterday I played for first time (CS GO just for 10 minutes) and the temperature was so high
- CPU 80
- GPU 75
- FANS in auto Mode
Changing the FANS to maximum speed the temperature was decreased but was still high.
But the real problem was with the case, the upper side, around F keys was very very hot.
After that, I started searching how to improve the temperatures and I decide to do some changes:
- First one, I decreased the CPU in Energy Plan Settings from 100% to 99%
- After that I Undervolted the GPU to 925 with MSI afterburner.
- FANS at maximum speed with the Acer Predator tool.
Results stables for more than 1 hour playing:
I think is a really really good improvement (please correct me if I am wrong), the thing is that I want better results (because the fans are too loud at maximum speed) and probably make sense to replace thermal paste and thermal pads and reduce fans speed to be in the same temperature range.
- For thermal paste I have been thinking in Thermal Gryzzly Kryonaut
- For thermal pads, I have been thinking also in Thermal Gryzzly but I don't know the thickness to use.
Do you have any hint on this matter?
