I have the acer nitro 5 and i was in the middle of playing total war three kingdoms and in the middle of playing my whole laptop froze. Im pretty new to the whole pc stuff and im not sure what i should do. I bought the laptop just over a month ago and i dont know if i should return it or try to find a solution for it. If anyone can give me some input id appreciate it. I'll put in a picture of what happened.

Looks like the display is gone. Was there any physical damage happened to the laptop?

Ok. Shutdown the unit first. Than press the power button once and as soon as you press the power button start hitting the "F2" key on the keyboard repeatedly untill it takes you to the "BIOS setup utility page". In the BIOS page check is the display looks same or its fine in there.

If you do as Jack says and the BIOS screen looks ok then reboot into SAFE mode with NETWORKING and do this
Download and install DDU from here https://www.techspot.com/drivers/driver/file/information/17830/ but do not run it yet. Download the Radeon drivers from the Windows 10 64 bit link here https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-19-6-2 do not run it yet.
Now run DDU to do a clean uninstall of your current Radeon app then boot into normal mode and run and install the new Radeon drivers, reboot and all should be good

I am not an ACER employee
Thank you and have a blessed day  B)
