So i got my acer aspire 5 a year ago, and about 4 months ago, the corners started to peel upwards. I initially thought it was because i had dropped it, but recently one corner has peeled up a large amount without me doing anything! I game often on this laptop and it tends to heat up a bit, could it be that it is heating up too much? It has a metal top plate so im not sure how that would work...

The case is a thermoplastic. It will probably start to deform with some pressure applied when temperatures reach 50*C & above. This is easily possible if the laptop is in direct sunlight with high ambient air temperatures. You can probably slowly uncurl it by applying pressure in the opposite direction in a warm location in direct sunlight. Jack E/NJ

That looks more like it was sitting inside a hot car with the corner leaning on something.  Jack E/NJ
