Leave the device on all night and the monitor active?

    What is the reason?
This is not a best practice.
Keeping the monitor active this way can cause permanent brightness errors and "shadows".

I thought it would be a good way to save battery. Any ideas to fix this?

Have you tried resetting the battery?
Usually the reset eliminates accumulated and static energy that can cause this error.

    Try the following:

NOTE: First, back up the registry.

    Windows + R key
Type regedit in CMD as adminsitrator
Access the following part of the tab tree to locate the FeatureTestControl:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / ControlSet001 / Control / Class / {4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} / 0000
Modify the default chace value which is usually f800 for ffff and save.

Restart to enable the key and verify.

Modify Chace Value? It says here that the Value is not set?

In this case, there are 2 more viable options.
The first is to check in the Windows power plan by placing High Performance and disabling Automatic Brightness.
If it does not work, I suggest that you re-install the OEM system from the factory.

Press ALT + F10 when the power is turned on before the Acer logo appears.
Perform the backup before your files and data.
