Hi! So i bought an acer orion 3000 last month and now everytime i play a game (apex legends) it starts to make this weird buzzing sound when my cpu or gpu workload reaches around 80-90%. I already sent it to acer for repair and they changed my fan and graphics card but still they were not able to fix the weird buzzing noise. Anyone have an idea whats the problem? Thanks

@Maki13 I know one of those two threads is very long, but if you read through all the comments, you will realize we (I had the problem, too) all reported the same symptoms: strange noise that started up once CPU/GPU was under heavy load after a certain length of time, unplugging and turning fans on to max would temporarily solve issue, as time wore on the problem would start up sooner and sooner, noticeable warmth on the right side of the laptop, etc.

A motherboard replacement was the only solution Acer ever offered/acknowledged (see @Acer-Manny's last statement when he locked the longer thread).

If your issues are significantly different than the ones discussed in the thread I linked to, it might be coil whine.

It certainly appears to be the same problem many of us reported here regarding a different model. Only a motherboard replacement fixed it for many of us.

This post has videos, so you can compare it to the sounds your unit is making.

I watch the video but it seems his problem was more on the speaker or wiring problems. Mine is more louder and it is like it is vibrating in the inside. Do you suggest that i should send it back to acer and let them change my motherboard? Tha ks for the reply

@Phoenix1966 i read the thread and it seems we have the same problem. I will try to contact the acer repair group again and tell them to try changing the motherboard. I just hope that they will know what i mean. I really hate it when i get a pc back from a repair shop and the problem is still there. Thanks for your help anyway. Really appreciated it.

@Maki13 I can very much understand your frustration. See if there is some way to direct them to that thread so they can read the symptoms themselves and view how many users had to deal with it. Suggest they run a stress test. For most of us, all it took was 3-4 minutes running CrystalDiskMark before the sound would begin. Good luck.
