HDD upgrade question..

Hi guys..

I'm currently running a 128GB M2 SSD (where Windows etc is installed) and 1 2.5 TB HDD.... I'd like to run the games I play the most off the SSD... but don't really want the hassle of opening up the back, replacing the SSD, cloning Windows etc.

As such my question is, if I buy a 2.5 SSD, was thinking the 1TB Samsung Evo 860, is it just a case of accessing the HDD, pulling it out and replacing it with the SSD?... presumably once I've done this, it will be as fast as the existing 128 GB M2 SSD, or there abouts?.

Have other people done this?, or is there another/better method to get 2 SSDs?.

Thanks in advance

  • Hello! What is the exact model of your notebook? Example an515-51-75kz! In addition, ssd m2 2280 is much faster than a 2.5 "sata 3 ssd! In addition, ssd only speeds up program loading, but does not improve fps!
