Thank you for your guidance, @IronFly . I think my HDD drive should be working. I actually formatted it and was able to assign it a letter. However, when I plugged it back to my Acer laptop, it would say "starting automatic repair" and then the entire screen went black indefinitely. I'm not sure where to go from here besides using a USB to boot the laptop and restore it to factory settings. Is there a way to get my laptop back to normal without going to the route of booting with USB, so that I don't have to reinstall everything again?

without the HDD is booting fine?
if so, clean the partition on the HDD and connect it without any partition (RAW).
Do a simple "clean" command on diskpart, it will be very quick.

Unfortunately, it's doing the same thing without the HDD.

That's strange...maybe you can try to fix it booting from windows 10 recovery and attempt  repair.
Try to preaa alt+f10keys at boot and then follow instruction to repair startup issuea.

I tried the alt+f10 method and it is saying "A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed. Error code:0xc0000225"
It says I need to use recovery tools.

I do have the option to go to Start up settings or Bios.

I tried the method of using a USB recovery flash drive created with Acer Care Center, but after exiting bios and seeing the Predator logo appear in a few seconds, the screen just goes black.

I don't have other ideas and it's a strange issue to be honest.

At this point put HDD back and try with the USB rwcovery flash again.

Yeah, I tried that and it didn't work. I think there's a problem with the SSD. I created the recovery drive with Acer Care Center. I  am going to try to burn Windows 10 onto a DVD and see if booting Windows with it will make a difference.

I don't know if this problem started with the fact that I started the laptop with the HDD plugged in while it still had some Raid data in it after I formatted it (this is before I learned that I need to wipe it clean). The laptop said it was performing repairs and so I let it run overnight thinking it will eventually fix itself. It didn't and it stayed in a loop. I don't know if that caused my SSD to be unable to boot correctly.

If it was under RAID1, normally it will just try to recover the array; maybe something went wrong when you put back the HDD just formatted as you told.
I hope one day to have physically under my hands a laptop with the RAID issue, so i could try if there are easy workarounds to fix it.

this means you already had a newer version than the RAID tool and there's nothing else you can do, apart taking off the HDD.
    Hi,

I have same problem as Antsmasher, however my model is PH517-51 (i didn't find any raid tools under your ftp link for it), however i've tried using your method with one for G9.

Was the latest version of CLI 15.8? (my ISRT is showing as 16.0.1.1018) any hope here? :)

Also in your guide you mentioned that if it's 'Recovery' ttthatt means, that i can still save data that was on my D drive, is it still applicable? If not, i will justt follow these steps to wipe everything clean and re-install.

    Thanks in advance.

Recovery is RAID1 and you can still save yoir data.
IRST CLI is outdated and it will not upadated by Intel.
