Hi, new on here but wondering if anyone can help? Daughter's fairly new laptop froze this morning and then refused to reboot - spends ages on ACER screen and then says no bootable device. I have followed instructions on here to enter BIOS and reset to default (F2/F9/F!0) but that hasn't helped. Realise this may be the hard drive but desperately need to try to get access if there are any tricks to try? thank you in advance

It should have either a soldered eMMC boot chip or an m.2 SSD card. Is any HDD recognized in the BIOS Information tab? If yes, is it also present in the boot tab? Jack E/NJ

Yes.  If less than a year new, it should be covered by warranty. Jack E/NJ
