What SSD type should I buy for my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-42 (Philippines)?

Good day. Bought my Acer Nitro 5 nearly a month ago (May 2019) in the Philippines and am looking forward to installing an SSD on the empty slot. Unfortunately, opening the back cover to check the pins will void the warranty so I opted to just look for answers online. I still haven't gotten a straight answer. Even the reps at the store where I bought the laptop from had differing opinions. Is it M.2 NVMe? SATA? PCI-E?

I just want to make sure that before bringing it to the service center for the install, that I'd have bought the correct SSD, saving me the hassle of going back to where I plan on purchasing the SSD and exchanging it for the other option. Please help a brother out. Thanks.

i installed this on an515-42 Indian version, works fine. you can search on youtube any video which can help you open the laptop fairly easy.

Mine was also under warranty

I just have the same model (PH), and recently added SSD storage. I goth this brand of M.2 SSD from my local computer store:

NVMEs are not supported as the M.2 port is only SSD.

I usually tinker my electronics and PCs, but I did go to the service center due to warranty sticker.
The process seems very quick as I waited for 30mins for the tech guy open and install my M.2 SSD (although I paid Php150 for installation fee).
I did the cloning of OS from the old hard drive afterwards, though.

I stand corrected, it should be 'only SATA', not 'only SSD'.
