Problem with Acer ED323QURA 32"? I'm wondering if anyone else has this issue.

So I just got one of these monitors from someone on Craigslist.  I couldn't resist the price.  The monitor seems to be in tip top shape.  No exterior damage and no damage to the screen as far as I can see.  Anyway, my problem with this monitor is when I have it turned off for long periods of time.  When I do, it seems to completely disconnect from my PC.  I know this because all of my open windows get transferred to my other monitors.  I have this ED323QURA monitor connected by Display Port, if that were to make a difference.

Is this normal that the monitor disconnects?  or am I simply turning it off too far (if that's even possible?)  Is there a way to put the monitor in sleep mode instead of turning off/disconnecting?  or is my monitor simply faulty?
