Hi Acer community,

I very resonantly brought an Acer X27 BMIIPHZX gaming monitor. Not too many issues noticed so far after a week, except for one. When I boot my PC and monitor up at the same time my monitor has a very dark blue tint loading the Acer Predator brand logo. It remains this way upon completion of the boot up to my desktop. I then turn off the display for a few seconds, then power back on and everything is back to normal. I also noticed I don't see it if I boot my PC up first, and then wait a few seconds to boot the monitor up. Should I be worried? Is this just the response time of the monitor trying to catch up with my gaming desktop pc? Has anyone else experience this before or have similar issues with same monitor?

Thank you,

Let's find out and uncheck the fast boot box anyway. Jack E/NJ

Doesn't seem serious. Perhaps a BIOS fast boot side effect. Desktop or laptop predator? Full Predator model number? Meanwhile open ControlPanel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in the left pane. Click 'change settings that currently are unavailable'. Scroll down an uncheck 'fast startup' to disable fast boot. Reboot.  Jack E/NJ

It's a gaming Desktop but a non Acer Predator brand. Don't know if that really matters? It's running Windows 10, and fully spec out for gaming. I will try and do what you recommend, and see how it goes from there.

    Thanks for the help JackE.

egydiocoelho Yes, my desktop drivers are up to date, and so is my Windows 10 OS. Even my Nvidia Graphics drivers are up to date.

JackE I tried your recommendation. No luck. Go to control panel search>Click on: change what the power buttons does. All it asks me is what I want to do when powering off my desktop. The issue I'm having is not the desktop powering down, but powering it on. It's when I power it up the monitor has a blue dark tint, if I don't wait a few seconds for my desktop to catch up and power on Windows. It's just plain weird. Maybe I just need to wait for a new driver update for the monitor / desktop.

Thanks for trying to help guys. Appreciate it.

@JackE It's better now after "I unchecked the fast boot box." So far so good. I'll repost back here again if I notice the same issue.

    Thank You!

  • Will the 1903 version of windows 10 solve this problem?
