It's plugged in but it doesn't charge unless I tilt the cable a certain way, though that doesn't usually work either. Do I need to buy a new cable or is there anything I can do? I've tried the pinhole and messing around in battery settings. Buying a new cable is a last resort for me since it costs so much. I've checked my warranty but it doesn't cover this. The laptop is a little over 2 years old.

    Good morning hexxadecimal  !

    Check the power interruption button.

The interrupt button not being pressed correctly may generate this problem.

There is a power interrupt button:

If it is not pressed down or the case is misaligned, errors may occur.
Check the same and use something like a layer of insulation tape to force and press this button correctly.
